It’s that time of year again, the “End Of The Season At Mt Bachelor Video.” You know, the time of the year when you put your gear in the closet and begin the summer long charade that you don’t even miss riding. But before you start repressing every thought that has to do with snow until next November, check out our seasons end edit.
Some end of the season fun with Ripclear up at Mt. Bachelor. Full of stunts, sleds, hot dogs and more.
The last week of the season here in the great Pacific Northwest was inline with our winter; all over the place. Winter started great with powder days as early as September. The thought on the front of everyone’s mind, that no one dare spoke, was that this was looking like a winter for the ages. However, just when it looked too good to be true… it was. Late December and January (Juneaury) saw almost no snowfall. In fact, those months saw almost no cloud coverage. However, Once February hit our winter was once again under way, with the powder days relentlessly testing out legs and bringing the snowpack total back to average by the end of April.
Just when it looked like May would bring no new snow our trusty mother nature sensed the necessity of one more dump and blessed us with that snorkel required season ender powder day (obviously rewarding me for drinking all those “Pray for Snow” oat sodas.) The following is what we managed to capture from those fleeting final days of the 2013-14 season. Some hot doggin’ around in the Mt. Bachelor terrain parks when our friend Mr. Sun wanted to show up. Some powder laps in the side country. Even some snowmobiling for when the lifts wouldn’t take us to the top any more.
I hope everyone had as great of a season as we did! Special thanks to Bend, OR and its inhabitants for always pushing the envelope all while being so gosh darn nice and humble about it. The end of the season At Mt Bachelor Video was fun hope you guys all enjoy!
